A person who is 17 years of age or older and who is placed under arrest by an officer of the Tyler Police Department will be incarcerated in a Smith County Jail.

Juvenile Arrest

A person who is 16 years of age or younger who is placed under arrest by an officer of the Tyler Police Department will either be released to a parent/guardian or incarcerated in the Smith County Juvenile Detention Center.
