The Tyler Police Department Career Development Unit will initiate and maintain a continuously active recruitment campaign to compete with other employers for qualified applicants, not only for current job openings but also for forecasted vacancies.

The Career Development Unit will be responsible for maintaining records of vacancies, authorized strength, salaries, benefits, and promotional requirements for the Tyler Police Department.
